Freak Genius Vs HPS

Remember Freak Genius? The band we interviewed about a month and half ago?

Well check this out, they wanted to throw a gig at HPS (real school) and it was cancelled for health and safety reasons.

So they decide to reorganize the gig a week later, and guess what?

Yep, it gets cancelled again…

What’s going on? Well, it was cancelled twice for health and safety reason, I’m not sure what happened the third time, I’ve completely lost track.

But it’s just so weird how the school would cancel a small gig and support an Open Mic Competition that was going to take place at the same time as a Freak Genius gig.

Unfortunately the Freak Genius gig was cancelled and the Open Mic Competition took place in the Main Hall.

Even though the Open Mic Competition had nothing to do with Freak Genius or their music, some of the people who attended the Open Mic Competition, or possibly organised it, went on the internet and talked shit about Freak Genius.

Here are they’re exact words:

4 months in the planning and a long list of obsticles that we overcame including small mutterings of objections from many opponents to the event (from both teachers and the s(t)uck-up students), companies not wanting to provide donations for use as prizes, delays in putting up posters, indecision of the date for the event, competition from a local (crap) school "rock" band holding their small gig on the same evening…”

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that this was an indirect dig at Freak Genius.

But then some whack ass bitch submits a post to the same site saying:

Due2one lone complaint made atda last meeting bout a comment concerning Holland Park's(& I quote):''local(crap)school 'rock' band'' in the Open Mic article, I have decided2change dis2 ''local kak skool rawk band''. I apologise4 NE offense caused 2da band.”

(Both quotes taken from: http://www.envision.uk.net/teams/default.asp?gtID=11&Act=139)

Now I could go on and on about they’re spelling and they’re grammar and they’re attitude, but I won’t.

I was thinking to myself, “what a bunch of haters!”

The idiots who wrote those messages have the word “whack” written all over they’re ugly faces.

Instead of bitching about them, or replying to their nonsense, I asked a couple of kids who went to that event to tell me exactly what went on.

I interviewed two kids who were at the Open Mic Competition, Josh D and Gavin Zubi.

Below is the transcript of the interview:

HPS: Hello and thank you for joining us.

Josh D and Gav: Safe for having we.

HPS: Safe for having we?

Josh D: You know like what Neutrino says, “Didn’t wanna back we, now they beg friend, up middle finger I show them…”

HPS: Yeah, ok, whatever.

Gav: Aight so what now?

HPS: Now we begin.

Gav: Gwan then.

HPS: Ok, so you guys were at the Open Mic Competition?

Josh D and Gav: Yeah man, it was heavy.

HPS: Could you please tell us exactly what went on, on the day of the Competition.

Gav: Nah you see, rephrase that bro, it was more like an Event, bro.

HPS: I see, so what went on?

Josh D: Well two guys would get up on stage and suck each others dicks, and we’d be watching and shouting stuff and waving our fingers.

HPS: So you went to watch two people sucking each others dicks?

Gav: Yeah.

HPS: All those people in the photo were actually watching two guys performing fellatio on one another?

Gav: Yes, yes!!! Stop making me repeat myself!

HPS: Ok so why were you guys watching this?

Josh D: Its interesting innit blad, people wanna see these things!

HPS: Well I certainly don’t want to see those things

Gav: That’s because you’re open minded you get me, you need to open your mind.

HPS: Yeah that makes a lot of sense.

Gav: Whatever blad.

HPS: I’m still baffled as to why you guys would go to all that trouble to organize an event just to watch two guys sucking each others dicks.

Josh D: Blad we raised £200 man!

HPS: What are you planning to do with that money?

Gav: Haven’t thought about it yet.

HPS: How old are you both?

Josh D and Gav: 15

HPS: What the fuck are you going to do with £200?

Josh D and Gav: Don’t know. Maybe give it to charity or something.

HPS: You better well do! So why did you guys think it was appropriate to write shit about Freak Genius on the Envision Web site?

Josh D: They’re just a shit band man, they’re songs are "kak" too

Gav: Yeah, I think its because they’re songs are really shit.

HPS: Hold up, how many songs have you heard for them?

Josh D and Gav: None.

HPS: So how can you say they’re shit?

Gav: They look "kak".

HPS: Yes but according to who are they "kak"? Cool people? People with a valid opinion?

Josh D: I just don’t like rock.

HPS: And do you think they like your type of music?

Josh D: No.

HPS: Back to the Open Mic Event, if the event was solely about two guys sucking each other dry to the bone, then why was there a need for a DJ and some turntables?

Gav: The DJ would spin a track, right, and then two brehs would suck each others dicks to that track.

HPS: what about the microphones?

Josh D: They were used to announce who would be next up on stage to suck some cock. Someone would walk up on stage and challenge someone to a dick suck.

HPS: Some girls also attended the event, and in one picture there’s a girl on stage, surely she doesn’t have a cock.

Gav: Oh that’s when you’re wrong bro; the only girls who came to that event were hermaphrodites, so they did have dicks.

HPS: hmmm, interesting I must say. There were also people wearing gloves, inside the venue, surely it wasn’t that cold.

Josh D: Nah those people were just trying to style it out, you get me, the event was just about sucking cock, if you want to act bad just go to a Rap contest.

HPS: But wasn’t this meant to be a rap contest.

Gav: Well if we said we were going to hold a Dick Sucking Event Mr. Hal would have wanted to take part, but we had to disguise it and get a DJ to make it look genuine.

HPS: So Mr. Hal would have ruined everything?

Gav: Exactly man.

HPS: Were there any prizes given at the end of the Event?

Josh D: Well the prize was sucking and getting sucked, what could be better?

HPS: On the Envision website the organizers said that in the beginning you had problems finding companies who were going to provide donations for use as prizes.

Josh D: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, in the end right two breh’s had to do the backshot dance…

HPS: Backshot dance?

Josh D: Ahh, its when one breh has one leg up and another breh behind him also has his leg up. Anyway, the first one to put his leg down and stop dancing loses, and the winner gets £3.

HPS: Sounds very energetic. £3 man that’s such a great prize, considering you guys believe that the dick sucking is part of the prize.

Gav: Standard.

HPS: Ok I think I’ve heard enough, thanks for joining us to explain exactly what went on at the dick sucking, I mean Open Mic Event.

Lyrics:

Kamakaze Boombox

Just when you think you've found your

calm package of simplicity

Things branch out and it's

hilarious to be not-so-me

Break Down to nothing

Not getting why I've flipped my lid

Realise that I'm not mental

I'm just plain stupid

GRAVITY

(Youcantbringmedown)

Is not for free

GRAVITY

(Youcantbringmedown)

Is not for me

This disease, this bargain

So blissful but with a fee

Getting close, craving more

Welcoming what spreads inside me

The rise, the fall, the sorrow of this pit

The hurt, the pain, the gain, its all worth it
